While China shuts down the factories to prevent coronavirus spread, Taiwan supply stays stable.

With its escalating infections, city shutdowns, and nationwide transportation halts, the coronavirus epidemic is starting to strain China’s chemical industry. The government has shut down transportation in and extended the lunar New Year holidayfor most factories nationwide.
Hubei’s chemical industry was China’s fifth largest in 2018, accounting for 3.5% of national output.Hubei, and much of central China, is an important manufacturing base for polyester and the textile industry.
While coronavirus epidemic paralise China supply, Taiwan factories stay fully operational. There are 11 cases reported on the island, school winter vacations are extended until February 24, but the factories and logistics providers are not affected and supply is stable.
